RASP
Registratore Acustico Subacqueo Programmabile
Programmable Underwater Acoustic Recorder
A simple instrument, for underwater acoustic monitoring, with a good quality and a low price.
Suitable to monitor water volumes ranging from nets' proximity to hot-spots, Marine Protected Areas, straits or rivers, RASPs offer a simple instrument than can be deployed and recovered from a RIB (see our sample deployment video).
Acoustic bottom recorder. Deployment and recovery. Electrolytic acoustic release.
Based on commercial recorders (m-audio microtack II, recording on compact flash memory, offering up to 48kHz in bandwidth at 24 bits, and on a customized acquisition board, recording on standard usb devices, offering 20kHz bandwidth at 16 bits / stereo. A custom control circuit has been designed and programmed to offer full programmability of the units. RASPs can record acoustic signals following a time schedule, only limited by available memory and battery capacity.

MODELS

Based on m-audio microtrack II, currently supports up to 64GByte compact flash cards. The battery is the recorder's internal battery plus a 1400mA NiMH additional recharcheable battery. Featured with a Sensor Technology SQ26 or CRT hydrophone, is set into an aluminium canister, just a bit larger than the recorder itself.
Goes down to -100 meters and is suitable to monitor continous underwater acoustic events, like dolphin attacks over nets.
MT 150US

MT 200
Same as the MT 150US model, the MT 200 has a 26.000mA battery pack, in longer canister (50cm).
