Sounds from the Orcas in Genova.


In December 2019 a small group of Orcas, later identified as a pod from Iceland, remained in the area of Genova port for several weeks.

Thanks to Alessandro Verga, Sabina Airoldi, Tethys Research Institute and the Capitaneria di Porto of Genova (Genova Port Authority), we were able to collect several days of recording using one of our Underwater Acoustic recorders uRec384k
Ethological notes of observed behaviours are also available and can be requested to Sabina.

We are happy to share the recordings with the community.
